1. Overview
This notice explains what happens to your personal data when you use the app "simple as book!". "simple as book!" is a note-taking app. Your books, categories, and notes are stored locally on your device by default. We do not operate our own server and use no advertising, tracking, or analytics services.

3. What data does the app process?
Only the content you create yourself is processed: books, categories, notes, to-dos, images, and drawings. These are stored locally on your device. The app collects no automatic usage or tracking data, uses no analytics services, and shows no advertising. No data is transmitted to a server of ours, as we operate none.
4. Legal bases
Your data is processed pursuant to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR to provide the app's functions, and pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR where you voluntarily use features such as iCloud synchronisation or notifications. You may withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future by disabling the relevant feature in your device settings. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
5. iCloud synchronisation and sharing
If you have enabled iCloud, your content is synchronised across your devices via Apple iCloud (CloudKit) and — when you share a book — shared with the people you invite. Processing is carried out by Apple as part of the iCloud services you use, within your personal iCloud storage. Apple's privacy policy applies additionally: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/en-ww/
Note on third countries: Apple may process data on servers outside the European Union. Apple is responsible for providing the required safeguards (e.g. EU standard contractual clauses) as part of its services.
6. Purchases
The one-time unlock is processed via the Apple App Store. Payment and related data are processed exclusively by Apple. We receive no payment or credit card data.
7. App permissions (camera, photos, notifications)
The app only requests the permissions required for the respective function (e.g. camera or photos when inserting an image, notifications for reminders). These functions are used solely at your initiative. Inserted images become part of your note and — with iCloud enabled — are synchronised.
8. Reminders
Local reminders/alarms are stored solely on your device and are not transmitted to us.
9. Retention period
Your data is stored for as long as you keep it in the app or in your iCloud account. When you delete content, it is removed accordingly. We do not store data beyond that, as we operate no server of our own.
10. Your rights
Within the limits of applicable law, you have the right at any time to: access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), objection (Art. 21 GDPR), and withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
You can delete your content directly in the app at any time; you manage your iCloud data in the iOS settings under iCloud. For data protection enquiries, contact info@slomitz.com.
11. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement.
